TomTomTosch: еслif you're not busy can you do it? I'm not a developer, just like the game :D
TomTomTosch 2017-01-31 01:05:43
no, someone who actually uses the software should package and maintain it.
bch 2017-01-31 01:10:53
hi, i installed gcc5 from testing on debian 8.7. this pulled in a lot of packets (libc6, g++5, ...). is there a clean way to remove those packets from testing (i normally try to avoid it but i had to experiment with something)?
bolt 2017-01-31 01:12:21
bch: next time: chroot
TomTomTosch 2017-01-31 01:14:14
no easy way except for a reinstall, but you can start with getting a list. aptitude search '~S ~i ~Atesting'
bch 2017-01-31 01:15:11
TomTomTosch: the best thing might be to wait until i can upgrade to debian 9 i guess?
TomTomTosch 2017-01-31 01:15:43
that's a possibility too, but installing new packages in the meantime might be a problem.
jelly 2017-01-31 01:15:57
bch: or reinstall

hi, i have some mail files, in "raw" format with all the headers, how can i read them other than opening them with an editor?
ViPure 2017-01-31 01:27:29
Hi everyone, I'm trying to install debian on my HP notebook but it doesn't work with the network card. I didn't had any trouble with the installation of ubuntu on my HP Notebook. Does anyone faces similar problems ?
dob1 2017-01-31 01:28:46
ViPure, maybe ubuntu kernel in newer and support your network card
TomTomTosch 2017-01-31 01:29:37
!firmware image
dpkg 2017-01-31 01:29:37
Unofficial images - containing non-free Debian packages - for installing Debian 8 "Jessie" are available from http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/current/ . See also .
TomTomTosch 2017-01-31 01:30:10
if that doesn't work, there are newer kernel and firmwares in jessie-backports.
ViPure 2017-01-31 01:30:38
I used the newest one from de debian site is there a site to see if the kernel works with my network card ?
