budder 2017-01-29 18:45:14
kyls literally copy paste # apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r|sed 's,[^-]*-[^-]*-,,') right?
klys 2017-01-29 18:45:21
yes
budder 2017-01-29 18:48:29
okay
budder 2017-01-29 18:48:31
ran it
skaria 2017-01-29 18:49:05
I wrote two systemd service files in /etc/systemd/user but looking through ``systemctl list-unit-files'', I can't find them. I have two services, one called offlineimap.service, the other offlineimap.timer. Obvious, offlineimap.timer is a.. wait for it.. timer. So, I'd expect to always see being reported somewhere by systemd. I can see that my service is working through ``journalctl'' as I can see it's output.
klys 2017-01-29 18:49:19
budder, check lsmod | grep nvidia again
skaria 2017-01-29 18:49:24
I'm just wondering where I can find my service so I can shut it down for some time.
budder 2017-01-29 18:49:26
klys it says 0 upgraded, removed, installed, etc

klys 2017-01-29 18:54:31
well dpkg -l | grep nouveau
klys 2017-01-29 18:55:18
and you may need to delete `find /lib/modules | grep nouveau` or at least move it away from there due to udev
notmike 2017-01-29 18:55:27
jelly: http://termbin.com/uiyy why is that putting Accept Anywhere Anywhere in my INPUT table?
budder 2017-01-29 18:55:40
okay i did that command
klys 2017-01-29 18:56:33
the nouveau.ko module is in there, just that it could cause a problem
budder 2017-01-29 18:56:56
okay so now what
klys 2017-01-29 18:57:22
have you removed nouveau.ko? if so, type # reboot
budder 2017-01-29 18:57:29
no how do i remove
budder 2017-01-29 18:57:44
last input was dpkg -l | grep nouveau
klys 2017-01-29 18:57:50
find /lib/modules | grep nouveau
klys 2017-01-29 18:58:03

klys 2017-01-29 18:59:44

klys 2017-01-29 18:59:57

budder 2017-01-29 19:00:22

klys 2017-01-29 19:01:49
find /lib/modules | grep nouveau
klys 2017-01-29 19:02:22
it should spit out a filename for you like /lib/modules/xxx/kernel/drivers/video/fbdev/nouveau/nouveau.ko
