try just type 'mount' wthere will be all mounted partitions. When installation is being in process, it should have /dev/sda1 already mounted somewhere.
phorce1 2017-01-30 21:00:13
copying to a USB mounted drive is horribly slow. 4.5GB is going to take a while (using tar|pv|tar)
Stummi 2017-01-30 21:02:51
phorce1, not with USB 3 and compatible drives ;)
phorce1 2017-01-30 21:08:25
Stummi: I'm not even sure this particular machine has USB 2. It's an OLD server that is scheduled for retirement ... but it has to be running to be retired. :(
noc_ 2017-01-30 21:09:30
if rw access is not needed (as you'll reinstall anyway), it may be faster to store it compressed (tar.gz), then archivemount(1) it when read-only access is needed
eugenmayer1 2017-01-30 21:11:35
is there still not security release for openssl in debian / debian stretch?
phorce1 2017-01-30 21:11:44
noc_: I want readable copies of the filesystem parts that weren't deleted. It will help me when I try ext4magic on the original filesystem. Reading through things like the apache2 configs for doc root locations
missmbob 2017-01-30 21:11:53
eugenmayer1: no security in stretch
eugenmayer1 2017-01-30 21:12:33
missmbob: that said, i am screwed since i need a 1.0.2+ openssl version for tomcat5, using the stretch one, but now screwed again since it is not patched?
eri451 2017-01-30 21:21:24
o/
eri451 2017-01-30 21:22:03
I have some scripts that should be in a package instead of being all over the place
phorce1 2017-01-30 21:22:10
my brain is firing in 20 different directions on this. Probably would have been faster to tar to a sata/sas drive in another machine across the gigabit network instead of to a USB drive
eri451 2017-01-30 21:22:13
but where should I put them?
phorce1 2017-01-30 21:22:25
but it's over half done now
eri451 2017-01-30 21:22:37
/usr/share/ ?
eri451 2017-01-30 21:23:08
and link them to /usr/local/bin? or directly there
