missmbob 2017-01-28 12:45:27
gr8: you dont
awal1 2017-01-28 12:45:56

gr8 2017-01-28 12:46:25

missmbob 2017-01-28 12:46:29
no i dont think that's possible
gr8 2017-01-28 12:48:11
ok I need qtwebchannel for building QtWebEngine. Is there a different way to get QtWebEngine on Debian stable?
missmbob 2017-01-28 12:48:36
no.
gr8 2017-01-28 12:48:47
can someone else answer please xD
missmbob 2017-01-28 12:49:12
the one person who knew enough ahead of time to mention getting stretch?
Putti 2017-01-28 12:49:20
any easy to use programs for drawing finite state automata in debian? I tried dia but it was missing arc label adding (or maybe I didn't just know how to use it), and also graphviz but it was too hard.
missmbob 2017-01-28 12:49:21
fuck it
gr8 2017-01-28 12:49:57
there is always "some" way, No is not the answer I am looking for
mtn_ 2017-01-28 12:50:18
haha
gr8 2017-01-28 12:50:31
talking bits and bytes, that is ;)
gr8 2017-01-28 12:50:49
I know this sounds funny xD
awal1 2017-01-28 12:51:08
gr8, be patient... you may get more info if someone knows
Putti 2017-01-28 12:52:14
uh oh, maybe graphviz isn't too hard. I will go on with that now.

A suitable /etc/apt/sources.list for Debian 8 "Jessie" has three lines: "deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ jessie main" "deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main" "deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ jessie-updates main". Be sure to run «aptitude update» after editing sources.list. Also see and "man sources.list".
missmbob 2017-01-28 12:54:07
gr8: btw...i knew ahead of time because i tried this exact same thing a few months back. it was very upsetting.
CodeMachine 2017-01-28 12:55:09
yo guys I didn't install nvidia drivers (debians) from synaptic, but from the terminal. Do I need to remove them 1 by 1 from the terminal or is it cool if I do it from synaptic?
tomcres 2017-01-28 12:57:04
CodeMachine: anything you install with apt/apt-get/aptitude, you can uninstall with synaptic
CodeMachine 2017-01-28 12:57:38
tomcres: Alright. ty.
gr8 2017-01-28 13:02:45
missmbob: ok thanks for the info. Is there any other web engine for qt that you can recommend? I tried QtWebkit but had difficulties with audio output there
missmbob 2017-01-28 13:03:34
gr8: no. same problems. i just gave up
gr8 2017-01-28 13:04:34
missmbob: did you also had audio problems??
missmbob 2017-01-28 13:07:07
i was speaking to "any other web engine". i also tried qtwebkit and it didnt work out. cant remember right now why
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:16:44
Hello there.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:17:10
I hope it is morning or evening to someone here XD.

nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:17:37
I'm trying to install this package from debian testing.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:17:53
I'm using Debian Stable.
dvs 2017-01-28 13:18:01
not a good idea
tomcres 2017-01-28 13:18:03
why are you doing this?
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:18:32
It's Krita, I plan to use it for work.
tomcres 2017-01-28 13:18:43
,v krita
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:18:44
AS a substitute for Photoshop.

tomcres 2017-01-28 13:19:02
and what is wrong with jessie's version of krita?
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:19:27
Well, TO BE FAIR,
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:19:40
I haven't tested it.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:19:53
And all the new features are shiny.

nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:20:21
Hahahaha!
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:20:32
But come on, seriously.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:20:48
How come it conflicts with everything GNOME?
tomcres 2017-01-28 13:21:10
because you're trying to mix two different versions of an operating system. it's not meant to work that way.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:21:22
Hm!
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:21:27
So...
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:21:42
I would have to be using Debian testing...
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:22:07
Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves, you're right.
tomcres 2017-01-28 13:22:12
if you don't know better than to do this, you really shouldn't be running testing
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:22:30
Let's give the good ol' Kirta 2.8 a chance...
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:22:50
Thanks anyway.
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:22:52
XD
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:23:35
Just to be clear!
nChomsky 2017-01-28 13:23:52
I wouldn't be able to get to 3.1 through backports, right?
tomcres 2017-01-28 13:24:04
no, there is no backport available
