awall: I don't see one, looks like your best bet is the mailing list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-security

Hello, I'm trying to "stream" a simple webcam output with "python -m SimpleHTTPServer (port)" using a symlink from the local directory using "ln -s /dev/video0 index.html" so I should be able to view it through my browser, however this is not working, what is going wrong?
nikfarm 2017-01-30 15:50:18
I added read permissions to /dev/video0 for others
awal1 2017-01-30 15:52:00
hmuller: yeah, looks like there isn't a security advisories specific tool, and yes I subscribed to that list yet . thanks :)
jelly 2017-01-30 16:02:33
nikfarm: that's not how streaming works, you need something that can actually talk to the video device, and convert to a http stream. like vlc.
nikfarm 2017-01-30 16:03:49
jelly: do you recommend anything very lightweight?
jelly 2017-01-30 16:04:13
no ideas other than vlc really
mad_hatter 2017-01-30 16:09:55
somiaj: can u link me to the proper kernel and packages from Jessie backports. I'm on a new device

so in trying to bypass a broken headphone jack I put a IOGEAR GBU 521 bluetooth dongle and am trying to pair to a bluetooth audio speaker. pairs to my phone and transfers files but no luck with the speaker.
