jim 2017-01-29 02:45:25
and you will/you have installed the eggdrop on that?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:45:32
yes
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:45:42
and this message i got wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:45:52
only on gseen and stats
jim 2017-01-29 02:46:30
the eggdrop itself should work fine... I'm guessing here, that the module you're trying to load was compiled for a 32bit arch
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:47:04
yes thats whats the problem
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:47:15
eggdrop is working fine. but i have this error in eggdrop
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:47:37
How i solve this error "wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32" ?
jim 2017-01-29 02:48:02
can you compile the modules (do you have the compilers/tools? do you know how?)
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:48:20
yes after i compile all modules after i get this error
jim 2017-01-29 02:48:48
so the compiler is making 32bit modules?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:48:59
yes
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:49:10
One person is saying enable multiarch.
jelly 2017-01-29 02:49:53
RuGaL: can you pastebin the full output of your compilation process?
realies` 2017-01-29 02:50:06
is there anythin web-based that would allow me to install different services?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:50:36
jelly: Its very hard to paste like this i am just showing you the error
jelly 2017-01-29 02:50:47
!paste
dpkg 2017-01-29 02:50:48
Do not paste more than 2 lines to this channel. Instead, use: http://paste.debian.net/ http://pastie.org/ or http://picpaste.com/ for pics. Use wikisend.com for large files (think tar.gz) up to 100MB. Remember to tell us the URL of your paste! Cannot cut and paste? Ask me about , , .
jelly 2017-01-29 02:51:50
RuGaL: you're not meant to paste in here, but on a pastebin site like http://paste.debian.net
guampa 2017-01-29 02:51:52
I'm hitting a problem with dhclient where it ignores (per RFC) the "routers" option when the dhcp server is handing a 121 option (classless static routes). Has anyone encounter this?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:51:54
man. after i install gseen and stats modules in my eggdrop i get this error
jim 2017-01-29 02:52:04
RuGaLI can help you with that... you can do apt-get install nopaste
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:52:06
this is the only error i get
jelly 2017-01-29 02:52:18
RuGaL: how exactly do you "install gseen"
guampa 2017-01-29 02:52:36
thinking of adding a classless route for the default gateway with destination 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0, but not sure if it's the right solution
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 02:53:04
Is it possible to setup a feature like "hide processes from other users" and/or "randomize new process id's" or so like FreeBSD has?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:53:19
I install lang files and gseen.conf and seen.conf in eggdrop
jelly 2017-01-29 02:53:47
RuGaL: can you show the actual commands and their output?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:54:36
there is no command
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:54:51
Can't load modules gseen: /home/Statistics/eggdrop/modules/gseen.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:54:55
just this error
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:55:21
gives up?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:55:35
Man do you not understand me ?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:57:28
?
jelly 2017-01-29 02:58:36
it's hard to help someone unwilling or unable to say how they arrived at the current situation
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 02:58:44
RuGaL: Because this isn't a debian-related problem you should contact ##eggdrop instead
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 02:58:54
* #eggdrop
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:58:57
It is Debian Related
RuGaL 2017-01-29 02:59:11
wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 is from Debian
jelly 2017-01-29 02:59:15
I don't know whether it's debian related or not, because there's not enough info
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:00:54
RuGaL: This looks like a common issue in eggdrop, other linux distributions like gentoo gets the same errors
jelly 2017-01-29 03:01:36
such an error should not happen if one builds the software on the same machine it's running
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:01:43
Plushwolf: YES thats correct. I am not only one who faces this trouble
jelly 2017-01-29 03:02:44
RuGaL: so, can you tell how did "/home/Statistics/eggdrop/modules/gseen.so" appear on your system?
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:02:49
RuGaL: Have you compiled eggdrop on the same machine? If yes, what commands and compiler options did you use and executed?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:03:02
(or in other words, how was it installed)
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:03:21
Yes
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:03:22
jelly: I install manually copy files gseen and stats into my eggdrop
jelly 2017-01-29 03:03:29
RuGaL: copy from WHERE?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:03:42
jelly: from other eggdrop where it was working
jelly 2017-01-29 03:03:58
RuGaL: was this other installation also a 64bit system?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:04:15
Maybe that one is 32BIT Debian
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:04:22
That's why
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:04:30
Mine is 64BIT Debain
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:04:44
yes
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:05:10
You know what ELFCLASS32 means?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:05:25
RuGaL: so you didn't actually build the file "/home/Statistics/eggdrop/modules/gseen.so" on this system, you copied it from some old installation
jelly 2017-01-29 03:05:26
?
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:05:35
yes
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:05:36
You're trying to run a 32bit library in a 64bit application
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:05:53
Plushwolf: Yes thats the problem
jelly 2017-01-29 03:05:54
RuGaL: pastebin the output of "file /path/to/your/eggdrop"
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:06:13
RuGaL: This usually doesn't work well then
jelly 2017-01-29 03:06:38
or just paste it here, that's one line
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:06:38
Should i reinstall my VPS into 32BIT
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:06:54
Why? There's no need
towo` 2017-01-29 03:07:06
if i read such questions, you should shutdown your vps at all
jelly 2017-01-29 03:07:07
you probably want to actually compile that gseen thing from source.
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:07:28
towo`: I agree
jelly 2017-01-29 03:07:39
judd: file gseen.so
judd 2017-01-29 03:07:42
No packages in jessie/amd64 were found with that file.
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:07:53
Mine is Jessie
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:07:55
New one
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:08:26
jelly:/home/Test/eggdrop
jelly 2017-01-29 03:08:50
RuGaL: run this command: "file /home/Test/eggdrop", and show the output here
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:08:56
If there's anything both should work 32 n 64 ?
bgardner 2017-01-29 03:09:31
Hello! I've got a debian 8.7 box that -- at install time -- I only set up wired ethernet. I now want to activate wireless so I installed wireless-tools and firmware-b43-installer. This all works except module 'b43' doesn't insmod at boot. I added a line to /etc/modules but it made no difference. Manually calling 'modprobe b43' *does* work. Advice for my next step?
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:09:32
RuGaL: I would compile eggdrop again from scratch with gseen.so included
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:09:34
-bash: /home/Test/.bashrc: line 6: syntax error near unexpected token `$'in\r''
jelly 2017-01-29 03:09:34
RuGaL: it's very hard to state the actual cause because you're not giving useful info.
jelly 2017-01-29 03:09:44
wtf
jelly 2017-01-29 03:10:32
RuGaL: if I had to guess, I'd say you're trying to use a 32-bit built module with a 64-bit built eggdrop binary. This will not work,
jelly 2017-01-29 03:10:48
the builds have to match.
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:10:51
I already told that ... no one listens to me ... why should you o_O
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:10:56
what i do now?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:11:22
remove the broken .so file and continue using the bot without it
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:11:43
RuGaL: Or compile the .so by yourself on a 64bit machine
jelly 2017-01-29 03:12:09
they seem to both have no idea what that means, and are too afraid to say so
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:12:13
Plushwolf: You know how to install Gseen and Stats ? Then I will give you info
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:12:24
jelly: Hm?
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:12:35
RuGaL: no
sypher 2017-01-29 03:12:35
RuGaL: That's not how this works. Give info publicly, and if people can help, they will help.
jelly 2017-01-29 03:12:36
"compile the .so by yourself"
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:12:49
ok
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:12:50
jelly: and?
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:12:57
jelly: It's not so hard o_O
jelly 2017-01-29 03:13:37
I'd do it for $80/hr :-)
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:13:48
:)
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:13:58
If i enable multiarch it will work?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:14:04
RuGaL: no
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:14:08
https://github.com/florian-sander/gseen.mod
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:14:10
Here's the source :)
RuGaL 2017-01-29 03:14:22
they use old ver 1.6
jelly 2017-01-29 03:14:51
RuGaL: you need to have matching builds for eggdrop and eggdrop modules, cannot mix and match new eggdrop with some modules built on an old system
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:15:44
"[15:12] they seem to both have no idea what that means] ... I know what that means FYI
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:17:03
Hi, I have a problem, after recent updates it seems my laptop has soft rf-kkill always on. Any ideas how to fix this ?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:17:04
Plushwolf: duh. RuGaL doesn't.
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:17:29
jelly: I don't know, let's not talk bad about other peoples here :)
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:17:30
It's kind of tricky cause i have to turn rf-kill on first with key then off, and then WiFi works
teraflops 2017-01-29 03:18:03
Plushwolf: yeah start by yourself
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:18:09
teraflops: Hm?
teraflops 2017-01-29 03:18:55
apart from the funny comments do you have something useful to say?
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:19:10
What funny comments? I didn't said any funny comment
Plushwolf 2017-01-29 03:19:15
s
jelly 2017-01-29 03:19:22
teraflops: they've been trying to help for 30+ minutes, what are you smoking
teraflops 2017-01-29 03:19:34
ok
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:19:42
debian stopped respecting blacklists from /etc/modprobe.d/ ?/
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:19:52
seems module I blacklisted is loaded for uunknown reason tome
jelly 2017-01-29 03:20:02
OneSploit: jessie?
jelly 2017-01-29 03:20:45
OneSploit: which debian release are you on, and which module does not get blacklisted properly?
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:01
jelly: debian sid
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:12
it's wmi module loaded by ideapad_laptop
jelly 2017-01-29 03:21:29
OneSploit: wrong place to ask, then
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:31
I belive it's the reason why my rf-soft switch gets turned on
jelly 2017-01-29 03:21:34
!debian-next
dpkg 2017-01-29 03:21:34
#debian-next is the channel for testing/unstable support on the OFTC network (irc.oftc.net), *not* on Freenode. If you get "Cannot join #debian-next (Channel is invite only)." it means you did not read it's on irc.oftc.net.
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:49
I thought I joined #debian-next
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:53
ah this is freenode ;/
OneSploit 2017-01-29 03:21:57
ok sorry :)
jklmnop1 2017-01-29 03:33:24
when I do "apt-get install " it often floods my screen with a bunch of Suggested: or Recommended: packages as well.. I some times change my initial selection to include the lot,in hopes of avoiding issues or adding functionality.... but is there a way to auto-include any and all eventual Suggested: / Recommended: apps when I try install stuff ?
TomTomTosch 2017-01-29 03:35:22
recommended packages are installed witht he default apt configuration. suggested can be pulled with --install-suggests also see --no-install-recommends in man apt-get
jklmnop1 2017-01-29 03:35:40
ooh. cool. many thanks
n4dir 2017-01-29 03:36:30
there is also a file to make such changes permanent, i always forget if it is /etc/apt/apreferences or /etc/apt/apt.conf
n4dir 2017-01-29 03:36:48
though as far it's me the default configuration is fine
jklmnop1 2017-01-29 03:36:54
cool.. :o)
jklmnop1 2017-01-29 03:36:59
