noqnio1: I dont know how to remove it but you can disable it
unborn 2017-01-28 23:57:37
noqnio1: in preferences > search and there disable what you dont want to be tracked. also click on cog icon in bottom of window (in gnome) and turn off folders which you dont want to be tracked. this should do the job for you so cpu wont go high

noqnio1: or perhaps http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=117949
iluminator105 2017-01-29 00:25:07
i need a weather applet that i do not need to register to one i was using does not work any more any suggestions
SynrG 2017-01-29 00:28:08
iluminator105: my suggestion is that you use punctuation.
iluminator105 2017-01-29 00:28:56
dude that was straight English
SynrG 2017-01-29 00:29:05
it was almost palpably painful to parse your unpunctuated inquiry :p
SynrG 2017-01-29 00:29:35
just saying
romancer 2017-01-29 00:30:38
Is it safe to install Debian 9 now and update to release after 5th of Feb?
iluminator105 2017-01-29 00:31:04
well taken, I suppose I could add a period or two every, now and then. No feminine products sold here period.
SynrG 2017-01-29 00:31:23
romancer: "safe" is a tricky word
themill 2017-01-29 00:31:30
iluminator105: grow up, thanks.
petn-randall 2017-01-29 00:31:37
romancer: Only if you're willing to beta-test our upcoming release, and fix/report bugs on the way.
SynrG 2017-01-29 00:31:44
romancer: safe, as in, "can i do this and expect to have no issues due to running testing?" no,
themill 2017-01-29 00:31:52
romancer: stretch doesn't magically improve on Feb 5 btw. The release is months away
n4dir 2017-01-29 00:32:03
I don't think there will be a release 5th of Feb, or after that. And, like SynrG already said, "safe" depends on what exactly one expects (imho it is safe ... but ... )
romancer 2017-01-29 00:33:42
Let's say comparing to FreeBSD, it was very smooth experience of updating from RC to 'release'. Is something similar expected with Debian, or things likely to break?
noqnio1 2017-01-29 00:33:55
unborn: i have already disabled it..
romancer 2017-01-29 00:33:57
From https://wiki.debian.org/DebianStretch : 2017-02-05: Full freeze
themill 2017-01-29 00:34:08
freeze ≠ release
themill 2017-01-29 00:34:38
the upgrades will be fine. There's a reason it's not released though and if the bugs that aren't fixed annoy you then you're not going to be happy
romancer 2017-01-29 00:43:51
"As of 2016-07-14, upgrading to Stretch from Jessie seems to remove some packages that are needed to run Gnome"
romancer 2017-01-29 00:43:54
Nice!
