LiENUS 2017-01-24 13:17:17
if i have an url for a debian repository is it possible to list all packages and versions available for those packages in the repo?
jelly 2017-01-24 13:22:44
LiENUS: yes it is. That's what apt does, downloads the package list(s) from each configured repo, you can find them in /var/lib/apt/lists/*_Packages after an apt-get update
awal1 2017-01-24 13:22:58
LiENUS: ALL pkgs available in the repository?
LiENUS 2017-01-24 13:23:16
awal1, there should only be 3 packages available in this particular repository
awal1 2017-01-24 13:24:02
LiENUS, try with apt-cache policy `dpkg --get-selections`
awal1 2017-01-24 13:24:20
add less for easy reading apt-cache policy `dpkg --get-selections` | less
LiENUS 2017-01-24 13:24:52
awal1, but how do i list just the packages on that repo?
awal1 2017-01-24 13:25:04
it should work, but I dont know how to limit the research to a specific repo
awal1 2017-01-24 13:26:01
well, that command only will list pkgs already installed
LiENUS 2017-01-24 13:26:11
oh im looking for packages on the repo
LiENUS 2017-01-24 13:26:18

awal1 2017-01-24 13:26:21

Does anyone know if Stretch supports AMD RX480? I have xserver-xor-video-amdgpu install, I also copied the polaris10_mc.bin from the kernel repo into /lib/firmware/amdgpu I then performed a restart and still do not have the option to change the resolution under System Settings>Dispaly and Monitor
missmbob 2017-01-24 13:43:12
you should install the firmware-amd-graphics package
missmbob 2017-01-24 13:43:18
,i firmware-amd-graphics
judd 2017-01-24 13:43:19
No package named 'firmware-amd-graphics' was found in jessie/amd64.
