dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:17:04

snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:17:28

snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:17:40
vsftpd: version 3.0.2
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:17:42
,versin vsftpd
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:17:49
,version vsftpd
judd 2017-02-25 02:17:50

dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:18:18
snacksticks, no, wait
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:18:27
ok
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:18:38
im on jessie
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:19:37
snacksticks, there is no bpo (yet), try the easy backport route, if possible at all, with seccom_sandbox=NO in testing, it works kind off.
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:20:26
snacksticks, for productin systems, i rather would not recommend this (yet)
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:20:46
is there anyway around this?
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:20:50
without backport
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:21:24
snacksticks, well, you could check its depencies, but i have not much hope that will work
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:21:51
snacksticks, its a long standing issue
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:22:09
:(
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:22:19
i guess i should ditch vsftpd then?
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:22:38
snacksticks, the Google seccomp is no longer supported either
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:23:34
snacksticks, nothing wrong with vsftpd, as far as you consider ftp a good proto
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:24:27
snacksticks, but it fails on this extension
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:24:27
true
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:24:28
ive never had this issue until i moved to vms
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:24:50
snacksticks, this problem pops up everywhere, you are not alone on this
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:25:16
snacksticks, i would say drop the extension
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:25:39
what would you suggest as an alterantive?
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:25:45
pro?
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:25:45
snacksticks, or consider another proto
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:25:50
proftpd
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:26:08
snacksticks, no, i ment drop ftp
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:26:39
snacksticks, consider http/https
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:27:23
snacksticks, or one of the ssh extensions (less performance)
snacksticks 2017-02-25 02:28:08
i may consider that. thank you.
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:28:08
snacksticks, yw
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:32:22
umount: /media/backup: target is busy
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:32:30
how do i figure out what is preventing me from unmounting?
schu-r 2017-02-25 02:33:18
lsof |grep /media/backup
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:33:32
returns nothing
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:33:55
JyZyXEL, are still CWD into it?
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:33:59
no
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:34:29
if i was, lsof wouldn't return nothing?
joze 2017-02-25 02:35:06
sof -n +c0 | awk '/DEL.+\.so/{ print $1 }' | sort -u
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:35:15
JyZyXEL, try as root `sync && sync`, then check again
joze 2017-02-25 02:35:23
this will return too mande DEL lines in stretch
joze 2017-02-25 02:35:44
lsof -n +c0 | awk '/DEL.+\.so/{ print $1 }' | sort -u
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:35:49
dutchfish: didn't help and the filesystem is mounted read-only
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:35:57
JyZyXEL, it could be dirty cache buffers on some FS's
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:36:13
buffers couldn't be flushed because its read-only?
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:36:17
JyZyXEL, ah ok, if ro then forget what i said
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:36:41
JyZyXEL, or that, if the dirty bit was build before going ro, then yes
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:36:59
i did a clean unmount and mounted read-only
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:37:24
i copied some files with rsync and now i want to unmount it
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:37:36
i don't understand why it has to be so hard though :/
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:37:53
JyZyXEL, what fs is this?
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:37:57
ext4
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:38:29
JyZyXEL, if the journal has commits, it will become stale in ro, thats hard to trace
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:39:08
JyZyXEL, or remount it writable, its prolly journal only, because lsof didnt catch anything
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:39:37
JyZyXEL, but this could be a bug, not sure
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:39:45
ah, so i could try: mount -o remount=ro /media/backup
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:39:51
i mean =rw
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:40:13
JyZyXEL, yes and after that the puny sync, then umount
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:40:35
Yugidude1, so the journal will be written out
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:40:42
oops
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:41:14
JyZyXEL, this also can happen when your /var/log is on that ro mounted partition
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:41:44
that produces a deadlock
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:43:06
dutchfish: well, it remounted rw but i cannot unmount it still after syncs
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:43:55
JyZyXEL, what does lsof come up with, now?
JyZyXEL 2017-02-25 02:44:42
nothing
dutchfish 2017-02-25 02:44:50
weird
