Hello, its just a very noobish question, but I deleated Empathy's entry in Alacarte, and would like to bring it back to the favorite's tab.
Diogenes_ 2017-02-23 12:51:55
When I try to add it through "New Item" the "Ok" option gets greyed out.
Diogenes_ 2017-02-23 12:55:28
Maybe if I could reset the GNOME configuratio to default?
tommaso 2017-02-23 12:59:47

When logging in my debian box via ssh, why does it sometimes happen that I cannot enter a capital 'C' character? Sometimes I try and system seemingly takes it as a Ctrl+C. I already tried from several pcs, all keyboards are in perfect state.
HeXiLeD 2017-02-23 13:18:37

Iridos 2017-02-23 13:21:30
that sounds extremely unlikely… if the terminal is on a graphical linux client, maybe you could watch with xev if an event for ctrl appears
ctcx 2017-02-23 13:22:34
No Ctrl events!
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:25:25

Iridos 2017-02-23 13:25:55
dpkg, jessie-backports
dpkg 2017-02-23 13:25:55
Some packages intended for Stretch (Debian 9) but recompiled for use with "Jessie" (8.x) can be found in the "jessie-backports" repository. See . A suitable line for your sources.list is «deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main». Also ask me about .
orb 2017-02-23 13:27:39
well, one thing you want to avoid is ctrl-s
orb 2017-02-23 13:28:04
but if you must try it, use ctrl-q to fix it.
orb 2017-02-23 13:28:12
i probably should have said that sooner.
transhuman 2017-02-23 13:28:24
in apache what loads the envvars file? is there supposed to be a line in apache2.conf?
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:31:51
transhuman, apache2ctl?
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:32:05
as per manpage
transhuman 2017-02-23 13:33:19
ok so now I have to figure out what that script does...thanks
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:33:20
hm, dunno what else reads it by default. It's also mentioned in /usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian.gz
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:33:50
but that doesn't seem too clear to me from what it says there
Iridos 2017-02-23 13:34:04

transhuman 2017-02-23 13:35:05
