can someone tell me whether on Stretch the kernel has Tuxonice support? There is the tuxonice-userui package, but in /usr/share/docs/tuxonice-userui it doesn't say what you need to do to get kernel support, while the package description says: "A kernel patch for TuxOnIce is available separately." but where is it?

Nevermind, I see tuxonice hasn't been updated for newer kernels

Hi, i have installed Debian to a libreboot Taurinus X200, but whenever I boot it keeps dropping my to "BusyBox"
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:29:17
I've been following these instructions: https://libreboot.org/docs/gnulinux/encrypted_debian.html
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:29:38
I've taken screenshots and logs of what happened at every stage: http://pastebin.com/xFTz0m4Z

Would anybody be able to help me get past BusyBox into Debian?

YaddNodax, 3.19 doesn't look like a debian kernel, and you're mentioning trisquel in the paste. Which distro are you actually trying to use?
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:36:33
Sorry, I meant Trisquel, not Debian
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:36:38
they seemed similar enough
jelly 2017-02-22 20:37:01
can you try reproducing the issue with actual debian?
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:37:25
ahhh... you mean starting the whole installation all over using Debian instead of Trisquel?
jelly 2017-02-22 20:37:31
precisely
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:37:35
ehhhh
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:37:43
if possible i'd look to do that as a last resort
jelly 2017-02-22 20:38:02
that's what you need to do if you want to get help from this channel.
jelly 2017-02-22 20:38:09
!trisquel
dpkg 2017-02-22 20:38:09
Trisquel is a Spanish distribution initially based on Debian, now Ubuntu. It is not supported in #debian. http://trisquel.info/en #trisquel on irc.freenode.net. See also .
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:38:54
ahhh, i see
YaddNodax 2017-02-22 20:38:59
thank you

with a different kernel, different initrd, distro twice removed from debian, people with debian expertise cannot know what differences there are
