E: The value 'jessie-backports' is invalid for APT::Default-Release as such a release is not available in the sources
TomTomTo1 2017-02-23 10:47:11

greycat 2017-02-23 10:51:12
I think dpkg needs to include http://backports.debian.org/Instructions/ directly in because nobody heeds his instructions to see
missmbob 2017-02-23 10:51:36
agreed. but i did link him directly to instructions
greycat 2017-02-23 10:53:04
dpkg, jessie-backports =~ s/Selected packages intended for the Debian 9 "Stretch" release/Some packages intended for Stretch (Debian 9)/
dpkg 2017-02-23 10:53:04
OK, greycat

TomTomTo1 2017-02-23 10:55:13

is it possible to hide processe from other users in linux? so they dont show up in ps aux ?
greycat 2017-02-23 11:14:20
No.
ws2k3 2017-02-23 11:16:08
greycat https://www.maketecheasier.com/hide-processes-from-other-users-linux/ this is not possible?
greycat 2017-02-23 11:17:47
Either users can see each other's processes, ALL of them, or not, NONE of them. Depending on which crazy kernel security crap you're using. You can't just hide one but not the rest.
greycat 2017-02-23 11:18:30
And you can't hide them from root in any case.
ws2k3 2017-02-23 11:19:39
greycat i have multiple users and i dont want users to be able to see processe of other users thats all
ws2k3 2017-02-23 11:22:43
is it possible to allow scp but deny ssh?
greycat 2017-02-23 11:23:15
It's MUCH easier to allow only sftp. Ask #openssh how.
ws2k3 2017-02-23 11:24:22
greycat i think ForceCommand internal-sftp does the job
tommaso 2017-02-23 11:41:38
hey people, anybody knows how to prevent the default dhcp client of Debian informing the server of the vendor / kernel version ? i'd like to know how to define my dhcp fingerprint in a fine grained way
CeBe 2017-02-23 11:42:57
tommaso: did you check `man dhclient`
CeBe 2017-02-23 11:42:58
?
tommaso 2017-02-23 11:46:44
Cebe: thx, that surely help, how do i change the default usage of dhclient? i mean at startup or whatever starts it up
CeBe 2017-02-23 11:51:35
tommaso: that depends on your setup, if you have networkmanager it is managed by that one, if not you have it started by something else.
