cybrNaut: that sounds like a bug that should be reported/sent upstream. If it has been fixed upstream you should inform the matainer what version, though newer versions of firefox will be brought in due to securty issues
cybrNaut 2017-02-24 09:59:31
somiaj: the author of that report could not report it upstream because the Mozilla bug tracker is hostile toward anonymous contributors. There was a reliance on someone else mirroring the report upstream
jspiros 2017-02-24 10:03:10
lhx: thanks, I'll give that a try
jspiros 2017-02-24 10:03:10
lhx: in the meantime, I just set nolock on the clients' mounts, since I don't need locks anyway in my use case, but I'll try that out and test, since I don't like leaving things unfixed
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:04:43
$ pkg-config --exists --print-errors "taglib >= 1.9"
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:04:45
Requested 'taglib >= 1.9' but version of TagLib is 1.8.0
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:04:53
I have no idea how it gathers that 1.8
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:07:20
libtag1-dev, is that the dev package for TagLib?
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:07:48
Dexter_F: did you clean out all the older stuff in /usr/local/bin, /usr/local/lib, /usr/local/share?
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:09:07
somiaj: /usr/local/lib/libtag.a was the only libtag fiel I could find other than the .so versions from the official jessie package. I renamed it to .bkp.
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:11:00
Dexter_F: -dev will contain .h files for the headers, those might be on your system too
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:11:09
Dexter_F: find /usr/local
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:12:32
somiaj: http://paste.debian.net/916639/
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:13:24
Dexter_F: inside /usr/local/include, that is where the headers (.h) files are located that your build is finding.
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:13:30
Dexter_F: the /bin/taglib-config as well, I would just move all those out of /usr/local
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:15:58
somiaj: moved them to /root, ran ldconfig, still ./configure sees that 1.8.0 :(
pc 2017-02-24 10:26:24
hey everybody - I got a really shitty problem with a luks encrypted lvm drive and it's driving me mad - can anybody please help me??
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:26:24
somiaj: /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/taglib.pc says: Version: 1.8.0. just delete?
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:26:24
pc: describe the problem
somiaj 2017-02-24 10:26:24
Dexter_F: I would remove all files assoicated with that lib. The problem with local installs and not using stow is you sometimes have to track them all down.
pc 2017-02-24 10:26:24
Dexter_F: so Cryptography Setup fails after 3 failed password attempts. I'm dead sure I'm using the correct password. I tried mounting it in a live USB environment with cryptsetup, didn't work either. I tried an older kernel. Didn't work too.
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:28:01
pc: obvious issues: keyboard setting? fancy key in it like " which moves on different layouts?
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:28:22
pc: does cryptsetup allow key files?
pc 2017-02-24 10:29:03
Dexter_F: I tried with US Keyboard Layout - didn't work. Is there anyway to check in the emergency shell what layout I'm using? Also in the Live USB, I could double check that the password is typed correctly...
pc 2017-02-24 10:29:32
Dexter_F: not sure - I'm gonna check.
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:29:48
pc: hmm.. german keyboard?
Dexter_F 2017-02-24 10:31:59
somiaj: deleted .pc files, now continues in configure
