!yumi
dpkg 2017-02-01 15:46:30
extra, extra, read all about it, yumi is a tool that can make bootable usb device. It is not recommended for use with Debian CD/DVD images, as it mangles the installer in cruel and unusual ways, resulting in hard to debug problems. Ask me about , ,

!dd
dpkg 2017-02-01 15:49:52
it has been said that dd is an abbreviation for Debian Developer, or a utility for the low-level copying and conversion of raw data: man dd, dd if=/foo/vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 to produce a bootable floppy, dd if=/dev/hdc of=image.iso to make an image of a CD/DVD. See also , , .

missmbob 2017-02-01 16:28:00

Completely unrelated, but X crashes when I launch most video files
squigz 2017-02-01 16:29:44
How can I start debugging this?

Hey room, can someone answer a simple samba question for me
sideup66 2017-02-01 16:44:20
I ask because I've heard some machines now scrutinize unencrypted samba and move it's data slower than encrypted, does Debian's version of samba support it?
sideup66 2017-02-01 16:44:42
I read it's a 3.2 feature I believe but will stretch or Jessie see that update?
