Is TRIM enabled by default on Debian?
tw 2017-03-05 13:49:47
crazy7: it isn't. Real-time discards can cause certain SSD models to lock up.
crazy7 2017-03-05 14:02:28
Is it better to use NTFS if you need to use a hard drive on Windows and Linux?
marioxcc 2017-03-05 14:42:30
zykotick9: But it is called "GNU/Linux" in the FAQ: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-faq/ch-basic_defs.en.html#s-whatisdebian and the installation manual.

hi, how to make sysctl apply rules when the paths are available? I have set net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-iptables = 0 but it doesn't apply on boot, if I run manually sysctl -p later it works
somiaj 2017-03-05 14:44:13
ghormoon: have you tried /etc/sysctl.conf or an indvidual *.conf file in /etc/sysctl.d/
ghormoon 2017-03-05 14:44:20
sysctl.conf
marioxcc 2017-03-05 14:44:25
zykotick9: Do you have a link to an official announcement? I'm genuinously interested.
somiaj 2017-03-05 14:45:01
ghormoon: what is loaded that makes that available, if it is part of your interfaces file you can use postup scripts, you can also set things up like that in unit files.
