The best way to install Debian 9 "Stretch" is probably using the current release candidate of the installer images. https://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ These images might break or might be buggy but if you're installing the testing release, then you obviously want to help find and report bugs :)

The 'freeze' is when large changes to testing version of Debian are stopped for few months. During this period, no new package uploads are made except to fix critical bugs or to provide documentation updates. hello, I'm having trouble connecting to eduroam wifi. network manager tries to connect then asks me to repeat my credentials, because authentification failed. i tripple checked, it's 100% correct. tried both 3.16 and 4.9, using the network manager applet. my chipset and journalctl output while trying to connect: https://paste.debian.net/918556/ i'm using the firmware-brcm80211, brcmsmac driver.
