Donquixote 2017-03-02 00:47:34
All operating systems are garbage.
veek 2017-03-02 00:48:36
Donquixote, die! die! :p
Donquixote 2017-03-02 00:49:40
I might. In a few hours I will receive a nitrogen tank. Then I can put on my Exit Bag and die on a whim.
veek 2017-03-02 00:50:58
shame on you
veek 2017-03-02 00:51:09
donate organs :p
Donquixote 2017-03-02 00:51:33
I won't.
themill 2017-03-02 00:52:23
perhaps you wanted ##chat
menace 2017-03-02 01:01:26
Hi, i have no audio on debian jessie in firefox, but with a local video with vlc i have audio.. i do not find any current bugs/links when googling with "debian jessie firefox no sound". does anyone have a hint what to do/what to look for?
veek 2017-03-02 01:01:50
gosh! i had a lot of problem with audio
veek 2017-03-02 01:04:00

menace 2017-03-02 01:05:49
aplayanyway?
menace 2017-03-02 01:06:02
i cannot find it in the repo or with google?
dontknow 2017-03-02 01:09:41
i get sound from firefox without pulseaudio
veek 2017-03-02 01:12:18
you don't need the pkg, but i suspect you need libpulse (it's either statically linked in or dynamic) that's what the guys on #firefox told me (anyway that was not the problem with my box)
veek 2017-03-02 01:12:54
ldd didn't show anything so..
rafalcpp 2017-03-02 01:21:46
is Qt at least 5.6.0 provided in debian stable?
rafalcpp 2017-03-02 01:22:11
I wonder what package can it mean to install, for Project ERROR: Use at least Qt 5.6.0.
veek 2017-03-02 01:23:52
libqt5core5a:i386 5.3.2+dfsg-4+deb8u2
veek 2017-03-02 01:24:37
dpkg -l|grep tells you
dpkg 2017-03-02 01:24:37
veek: parse error: dunno what the heck you're talking about
veek 2017-03-02 01:24:48
heh
rafalcpp 2017-03-02 01:27:19
and 5.6 is not in backports either?
rafalcpp 2017-03-02 01:27:38
(I searched on https://backports.debian.org/Packages/ and it shows nothing for "qtbase5")
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:41:09
A chrome app did the job. I cannot play mp4 within VLC, Mplayer oder Dragon Player, but in a fucking chrome extension.
missmbob 2017-03-02 01:41:50
Donquixote: vlc in stable has known bugs. try mpv
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:42:04
Doesn't work either
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:42:08
No native Player works
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:42:19
Minitube also doesn't
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:42:25
Just JavaScript gets the job done
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:42:29
Fucking JavaScript
Donquixote 2017-03-02 01:45:49
I wonder if I should just abandon desktops alltogether and use chrome for everything
